Prologue: The Day That Death Descended

Ten thousand heavens on either side

Came to a’slaughter.
Men did fall and heroes rose,
The day that Death descended.

A wolf - he fought, for ancient pride
And made a massive blunder.
Regret he did for past mistakes,
The day that Death descended.

He killed a lass, of heaven’s ilk
And tore her ‘pool asunder.
She did fall, a god was born,
The day that Death descended.

A lad did cry, his heart did break
The sky did crack like thunder.
A hero rose, a man did fall,

He was that Death descended.
