Side Story 4: The Fall Of Biqiril (Part 3)

Entry 7. AY 1.200

This project is pretty hard, but I have some okay results at both sides. After around thirty days of research I have come to the conclusion that both options are feasible and have a plan of attack for them. I'm just not sure which one would be best so during the progress meeting with General Ashdon I am just going to go over my progress with both.

I managed to increase the mana density of a mouse tenfold today, which brings it in line with the capabilities of a small child. The question I have yet to work out is how this will all scale upwards. I still need to get the density to fifty times that of a normal mouse for my suspected levels to be tested, and even then I don't know if a larger body or larger array can keep up with that level of compression. The key does seem to be a gradual increase though, so I have learned something interesting. Perhaps that is how the tower works?

On the side of making a soldier from scratch, I am using some of what I have learned from making the interweb to plan out how the brain of the creature would work. It seems like if I could connect them all together to take commands from the same source it would be much easier to command them than allowing them to work alone. Though how I will direct them to target the enemy will be a challenge in and of itself.

Qema went with a super powered suit of armour, and seemed kind of shocked when I presented my concepts to the General. Idiot. Any fool could set up a movement array and a defense array, but this is for the betterment of people as a whole. As if a suit of armour is going to make that much of a difference. It's like he has never even seen the Anasinian royal armour before. Prime Hephaistian work will always blow an arrayist out of the water, and they have ten sets of that damn armour.

We're doing all three plans, which is fine, but they are ceasing work on improving my early designs to compensate. Honestly, that's fine. This task will be hard.

On a side note, I spoke to the Librarian again today. Her name is Eynan. What a beautiful name! Have you ever heard anything so magnificent? I have yet to approach her with my intentions, but she did seem interested by my rant about Qema’s treatise. She seems to find me funny. I don't know why. I don't try to be. Hopefully that will begin moving on along with my work. I can't afford to slack now.

THAT BASTARD. THAT UTTER BASTARD. Qema has been copying my research, I can't prove it, but over the last two months I have had discoveries beaten to the punch by him. This would have never happened if the General hadn't gotten the idea to make us compete over my two plans. He said it was to ‘share a starting point and to see where it goes’. I can't believe he actually stole my plans though. It would not be so obvious if he didn't use terminology I specifically use with my team... Oh. So that's how it is. Time to stopper this leak before it gets any bigger.
